Our History

A group of believers in and around Morris County, New Jersey, had been seeking God’s will as to what he would want his church to look like in this area. We had our first meeting in a back yard on Sunday, June 10, 2007, to worship the Lord through prayer and fellowship. Thirty-two people, including teens and children met that day, and we all believed that God was calling us to form a church, and New Beginnings was born.

Our first pastor was Robert Dalsing. Under his leadership, we grew from a backyard church into a fully-functioning church plant, meeting next in Wharton, then briefly in Flanders, and then, for several years, in Rockaway.

After God called Pastor Rob to another church, we were once again without a leader. After a few short months of searching, we found Pastor Doug Becker and his wife, Jamie. Doug came on board in July of 2010, and has faithfully taught the Word of God and has led us to where we are today, with a thriving small group ministry, a global missions focus, and a reputation for being a warm, Christ-centered community of disciples.

In June 2015, the Lord blessed us once again with our own church building in Flanders, Mt. Olive. We are so excited to be part of this community, and look forward to watching God work in and through us, as he continues to glorify his great name through the preaching of the gospel and the salvation of the lost.
